GENERAL COSMETOLOGY: For a full time student (35 hours/week) it will take 10 months to complete the 1500 hour program. It can take up to 18 months for part time students.
1) General Cosmetology - A course of training consisting of a minimum of 1500 hours of instruction and practice as required by the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology covering a contracted period of continuous scheduled training. It includes the following minimum curriculum. A student completing this course will be prepared for entry into a salon as a cosmetologist, hairstylist upon passage of a state administered licensing exam.

A make-up fee of $5.00 is charged for every hour needed to reach the rate level minimum requirements after the contract completion date and the no charge period of 80 hours are reached.
